Good Sunday Morning! Winter is trying to make a come back here in Chicago, but I'm thinking "Spring"! This card features the stamp set, Wonderful You, which is part of the FREE Wheelin' special. There's just a few short days left on that special so be sure to email me today to get your FREE Jumbo Wheel with a purchase of a selected stamp set.
Now for the "Adding Texture--Simply" part. The easiest way to add texture is simply by sponging. I stamped the flowers and leaves using Basic Black onto So Saffron and Old Olive. Once I cut out the images, I sponged using a Sponge Dauber with the same color ink. If you want more of a dramatic effect, sponge with a shade darker (More Mustard on So Saffron and Always Artichoke on Old Olive). The quick and easy sponging makes flowers and leaves look a lot more life like! I really like this effect!
Here's a close up of the flowers. They are popped up on Stampin' Dimensionals.
Here are the details:
Stamp Set: Wonderful You
Inks: Basic Black, So Saffron, Old Olive, Bordering Blue
Card Stock: Close to Cocoa, Bordering Blue, So Saffron, Old Olive (used Color Coach for color combo)
Accessories: Sponge Daubers, Stampin' Dimensionals, Word Window Punch, Ticket Corner Punch
Have a great rest of the weekend and thanks for the visit!
Sheryl
