Happy 4th of July! I hope all of you have a fun and safe holiday!
It's Friday so we have another Blogger's Challenge. This week's challenge is Color Blocking. I like to use this technique--it's a great way to use up scraps. I did two challenge cards this week. Of course I had to do a 4th of July card. And, I wanted to use the SCS Color Combo.
This card is super easy and there's no stamping! Since I don't really send out 4th of July card, I used "celebrate" so that this can be a birthday card too.
Here's the details:
Card Stock: Real Red, Brilliant Blue and Whisper White
Accessories: Pewter Hodgepodge Hardware (remember HH is 25% off, but only while supplies last), Real Red Gingham Ribbon, Small Star Punch, 1 1/4" Square Punch, Cherished Moments Rub Ons
Here's my card for the SCS Challenge...
What??? No stamping again? With all the great accessories that SU! has to offer, sometimes no stamping is needed!
This card is much more sparkly in real life. I used the DSP lines as guides to apply 2 Way Glue and then Heat & Stick Powder and Dazzling Diamonds. I free handed the lines on the Purely Pomegranate card stock. I also took a Blender Pen that I use as my Purely Pomegranate marker and added very light color to the Pretties Flower.
Card Details:
Card Stock: Wild Wasabi, Purely Pomegranate, Whisper White, Certainly Celery DSP
Accessories: Pretties Kit, 3/4" Circle Punch, 2 Way Glue Stick, Heat and Stick Powder, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter
I know I didn't post any pictures for the Scallop Card I showed the other day. Don't worry--I will this weekend. So be sure to check back.
Thanks for the visit!!!

Both your cards are very nice. I agree it's a perfect way to use up scraps. What a great idea to add sparkle to designer paper like that.

Stamping isn't necessary for a beautiful card. Your project is a perfect example of that! Great job.
