Sweet Shapes and SCS Challenges

This week's color combo on SCS is Groovy Guava, Whisper White and Sahara Sand.  I combined it with the sketch challenge too.  Decided to give my soon to retire Flannel Plaid BG some love.  If you need a good background for masculine or outdoorsy cards, Flannel Plaid is a MUST HAVE.  But the cool thing is that it works for more feminine cards like mine here.

This was a quick card to pull together even though there are several layers.  Go grab your stamps and play along with the color, sketch or both challenges!

Bud Basics Birthday Card

Today we are heading to my Mother-in-Law's house to celebrate my Sister-in-Law's birthday.  I already had a card that I made in mind, but I just couldn't resist sneaking down to my stamp room and making a new one.  Come on, be honest, you do that too!!!

Blogger's Challenge--Christmas in July

This week's Blogger's Challenge is "Christmas in July".  I think the new colors, Riding Hood Red and Kiwi Kiss will be awesome perfect Christmas card colors! 

Do you like my Kiwi Kiss Taffeta???  Here's a close up...

Isn't it gorgeous?  I dyed the White Taffeta.  At first the color was too dark for what I was looking for so I squirted some water on the ribbon.  Then I crunched it up in a paper towel and took my Heat Tool to it.

My background is done by rubbing the Riding Hood Ink pad directly to the paper in different directions.  It's a simple layout, but I like the look.  Hope you do too!

More Christmas in July!

I participated in this week's SCS color and sketch challenge.  And since I'm going to be a vendor at the Christmas in July sale today, I thought I would stick with that theme.  Tomorrow will be another Christmas in July for Blogger's Challenge so be sure to come back then.

The color combo for this week's challenge is River Rock, Soft Sky and Very Vanilla.  While these are not the usual Christmas colors, I think they work beautifully with Peaceful Wishes (retiring).  I love Peaceful Wishes--even used it last year for my Christmas cards.

Sneak Peek--Dreams du Jour and Scallop Edge Punch

I sat down to play with some of my new product.  First let me tell you that everyone NEEDS to have the new Scallop Edge Punch on their list for August 11!  This is the coolest new toy I have and it is very easy to use.  We will definitely use this punch at my August Stamp Camps!
