I can't believe I never posted this card! It was a card we made back in October for World Card Making Day. I don't remember where I first saw this type of card--but the idea is not my original one. I used a stencil to make the shape of the apple and then I freehanded my "caramel". Now I know that the caramel is not true to life--each one of my boys (that's 3 boys) had to tell me that I had it upside down. Gosh I love being told what's what by my cuties, lol!!
We traced the apple pattern on Real Red card stock that's been folded--that way the fold was there. We traced the caramel pattern on Creamy Caramel card stock. Then we pressed it into Versamark and embossed with Glassy Glaze Enamel Embossing Powder. This provided some shine and texture. The "stick" is Chocolate Chip punched on one side with the Word Window Punch. It's sandwiched between the apple and caramel.
I think this apple would make a really cute banner too. You could use it for any fall theme party, Thanksgiving or Halloween. So, put that in your "project idea book" for next year!
Thanks for the visit!
