I had time to play a little before running errands and having parent conferences (boys are off school today and it always throws my schedule off!). I loved the name of this week's Color Challenge on SCS: Summer Kiwi Pies (Summer Sun, Kiwi Kiss, Pumpkin Pie). Doesn't that sound yummy?
I really should call this the Big Shot Flower because I used the Big Shot a lot! Here, take a peek.
For the flower, I used the new SU! Flower Burst Embosslit. I got the idea of layering a few together from my friend, Lisa. I put the flowers together with the Fire Rhinestone and then did a lot of folding until I liked it. Here's a closer look...
The stem is the SU! Sweetest Stem Embosslit. For my vase (pronounce that vahhhzz, lol!) is the Wide Oval Punch that I embossed with the SU! Backgrounds 1 Texturz Plate. The Kiwi Kiss is also embossed with the same set of plates. Here's a closer look...
Then I used Really Retro (my new favorite word set) for my sentiment and the Small and Large Oval Punches. I thought my card looked "organic like" (even though I used the Fire Rhinestone--eclectic is good) so I added some Natural Hemp to hold my sentiment. I sponged Baja Breeze on the Whisper White to add background and to soften it.
I like how it turned out. What do you think? We will use this Embosslit at March's Stamp Camp so keep Friday, March 13 open if you live in the Plainfield, IL area and Sunday, March 15 open if you live in the Hoffman Estates, IL area. More info to come in my March newsletter (Stamp Camp will be a little different in March--but I think you'll like the change!). If you don't receive my newsletter, go sign up now in the top left corner!
Thanks for the visit!
