Good Sunday Morning!
I checked out the newest sketch at CPS and decided to play. Here's what the sketch looks like...
When I saw the leafy image, I immediately thought of "Thoughts and Prayers" and knew that would be my choice. My colors come from the Sweet Always Designer Series Paper. And, of course, I had to use my new SU! Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die with the Big Shot. So here's what I came up with...
I didn't want the leaves too dark so I colored them with Chocolate Chip Marker and stamped off. Then I colored the flowers with Pumpkin Pie and Regal Rose. I love this look!
Once I cut out my butterfly, I ran it through the Big Shot with the SU! Backgrounds 1 Texturz Plate (can you tell I'm addicted to these?). The Horizontal Punch makes a perfect size body for the small butterfly on this die. Here's a close up of the butterfly...
In this photo, you can see that I added Crystal Effects to the flowers and to the butterfly's body. You can also see the texture--I used the small dots pattern from the SU! Backgrounds 1 Texturz Plate. I thought the small dots coordinated well with the Sweet Always DSP pattern.
Everyone can play along with the CPS sketches. A new sketch is added each Sunday. And for this sketch, you don't have to have a "leafy" image--use whatever stamp set you want! Just follow the sketch (and even then you can take creative liberty!).

Beautiful card, i like the dark colored cardstock you used, makes your details pop and helps your card stand out from others in the challenge.
