Spring Song and Box #2 Bigz XL Die

I have a couple of projects to show you today.  First is a card for the Mojo Monday Sketch.  Here's the sketch.

 

I wanted to use a set that hasn't seen ink for a little while so I pulled out my Spring Song set.  Here's my card.

 

My colors come from the Parisian Breeze DSP.  I thought the colors were perfect for this spring bird!  The "just for you" comes from Oval All which is featured in the Occasions Mini.  I frayed the  Double Stitch Ribbon by pulling one thread.

Ink:  Black Stazon, Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze, Sahara Sand

Card Stock:  Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip, Parisian Breeze DSP, Watercolor Paper, Very Vanilla

Accessories:  Double Stitch Baja Breeze Ribbon, AquaPainter, Large Oval and Scallop Oval Punches, Stampin' Dimensionals

Onto my second project...

I won a $50 Shopping Spree from my upline (yeah!) so I got the Box #2 Bigz XL Die.  Since my Parisian Breeze DSP was still out, I grabbed one of the stripes pattern.

 

This box is sooooo easy  to make!  One run through the Big Shot (be sure to get the Extended Premium Crease Pad that's now available, #117630, $19.95) and you're done.  The only adhesive needed is on the small side piece.  The bottom goes together without adhesive (although you  may want to use some if you put a heavier item in the box).

To finish my box, I stamped the owl from Forest Friends (Occasions Mini) with Chocolate Chip on Very Vanilla card stock.  It's punched with the Large Oval and then layered on a Baja Breeze Scallop Oval Punch.  Then I made a coordinating 3 x 3 card.  My sentiment on the card is handwritten.  Another option would be to print it out from the computer.

This box will hold a gift certificate perfectly.  Or fill it up with your special someone's favorite candy!

Pretty color combos Sheryl...love the bird! The little owl is cute too! Our next swap idea is birds (the other is water), so I will be having fun with those ideas. Have a great week!
