Here's my second challenge card for the day. I used a stamp set, Boho Backgrounds. that hasn't seen ink for awhile. I think this stamp set may be on the "Last Chance" list. What do you think?
My sketch is from this week's Mojo Monday. And when I saw the 4 circles on the two panels, I knew my card would work for the Fun Frilled theme as well. The theme on Fun Frilled is using 4 eyelets. It's kind of a funny story over there--the girls all got a kit and it contained 4 eyelets. Apparently Michelle had some trouble getting her eyelets set so that became the theme--for all of us to struggle too, LOL!! I'll be honest, I did struggle a bit and a few of the eyelets are not tight. I think I've gotten used to the Jumbo Eyelets which are much easier to work with.
Ok back to my card...my colors come from the Parisian Breeze DSP. I will really miss this DSP when it's gone--it works so well for both masculine and feminine cards!
You can see that most of this card is just layering DSP and card stock. For the medallion, I stamped it first in Sahara Sand. Then I took my Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write Marker and colored the outer and inner rings. I punched out the image with the Scallop Circle Punch and layered it on a Chocolate Chip 1 3/4" Circle. I used Copper Brads (from SU! Metallic brads) in the 4 corners and for the inner part of the medallion. I set my brads using the Crop-a-Dile.
OK, that's it for today. Be sure to check back tomorrow--it's Blogger's Challenge and the theme is Graduation!
