Happy Friday! It's Bloggers' Challenge and the theme for this week is graduation. My oldest is graduating from 8th grade on Monday so I need a card for him. His school mascot is the Bulldog. I don't have a bulldog stamp so I went to the shool website and printed out a photo of the mascot.
I hope you like my card as much as I do. Now I know the bulldog doesn't really go with the more elegant style card base, but that's what I think is so funny. I know Dalton is going to like it!
OK, tell me you didn't laugh just a little! LOL! I'm not much of an animal person, but this doggy is cute!
Originally I was going to use a texture plate on the Whisper White, but I wanted to incorporate Silver Brads (green, silver and black are the school colors) so I just scored a line 1/2" from each edge. The top and bottom score lines are hard to see, but doing this gave me the perfect "spot" for each brad.
Card Details:
Stamp Sets: Sock Monkey Accessories, Hugs and Wishes
Ink: Basic Black
Card Stock: Garden Green, Basic Black, Whisper White
Accessories: Silver Brads, Stampin' Dimensionals

Oh I love it! The elegance of the card with the bulldog as your focal image is a hoot. Nice job! I'm sure your son will love it to.

Congrats to Dalton! I LOVE this little bulldog ! ! ! My brother is SUPER into them. I have got to have a link to this picture. This would make a GREAT B-day card for him. I'd switch the hat thought.

I like the scoring... simple to do but very impressive... another idea for my idea book. Our family loves bulldogs since my youngest brother has one...the hat is great...I just finished all my grad cards, great idea to use the school mascot.
