Are you sitting down? My card is using a non-SU! stamp! I've seen the Thomas Kinkade Series at Cornish Heritage Farms and finally caved and purchased a few. This particular stamp is called "Make a Wish Cottage".
I like my card and I really like my take on the MoJo Monday Sketch, but I need to work a little more with these stamps. They are very much out of my usual style. I do love Thomas Kinkade's work.
Here's the sketch. I took a very different approach and used the shapes to spotlight parts of the image. It's kind of a triple spotlight! I used Stampin' Write Markers to color.
As I type this, my 14 year old DS is telling me what I should do differently (everyone has an opinion, lol!). He thinks I need to color the spotlight areas completely.
So now you have to chime in and let me know what YOU think--should I do more coloring? Is my son right???
Don't forget that today is the last day to sign up for my Pop Up Die class and card kit. Click here for all of the information.
Thanks for the visit! I'll be back tomorrow with another project to share.

Sheryl, This is absolutely beautiful! I have never seen a stamp so much like a picture! I think the amount you colored is perfect...

I didn't even notice that it wasn't all colored until I looked more closely. I was fascinated by the whole look of the card. Don't add any more colors. It is perfect.
