Catchy title, huh? When you see my card, you'll get it. But first, I want to announce the winner of yesterday's card. The number picked was 5, so Carol G, you win again! I'll send the "froggy" card out right away!
My color combo is for this week's challenge at Our Creative Corner. The colors are Regal Rose, Bashful Blue and Certainly Celery. The technique I got from a card I received a long time ago (at least a year or two) from a customer. I came across it again when I was doing some MAJOR cleaning in my stamp room.
Can you figure out what I did? I stamped the images on a piece of acetate (fancy word for transparencies) using Black Stazon. I have a piece of Whisper White the same size. I connected the acetate to the Whisper White at the top with Certainly Celery brads. Then I tore pieces of Certainly Celery, Regal Rose and Bashful Blue card stock. I sponged the edges of each with a darker ink (Garden Green, Rose Red and Brilliant Blue). Then I adhered each torn piece to the Whisper White.
What do you think? This is not a card to make when you forgot someone's birthday and need a quick card, lol! But, if you have some time and want to make a special card, try this technique.
Would you like me to send you this card?? If so, leave me a comment letting me know if this is a technique you think you'll try. I like to know what techniques my reader's like. Once you comment, you'll have a chance to win the card. Be sure to comment before Midnight tonight (U.S. residents only please).

Great idea...I kept looking at the main card stock and thinking, what does she mean, "torn". Thank you for the mini tutorial...love the way you inked the edges of the torn pieces. Another great way to use acetate! TFS!

At first I couldn't guess how you did this and I'd still like to see the card in person. This might be the best card I've seen using transparencies. This makes me want to run out and buy some transparencies so I can give it a shot. Thanks for the inspiration!
