It's July, but the weather here in Chicago is saying "fall". So my cards are coming out "autumn-y". Today's card follows the sketch for the week on i{heart}2stamp. Let me show you the card, then I'll tell you what I did.
My card base and all of the mattes are Soft Suede. I used the Sanded Background stamp on the Crushed Curry and Old Olive panel. For 2 of my focal points, I used Inspired by Nature and colored it with Crushed Curry, Soft Suede and Old Olive markers. I didn't get a crisp image the first time so I just took the markers and "colored" the images. That's why they are so dark. I also stamped the grassy image with Crushed Curry. The Soft Suede circle was cut with the Circle Scissors Plus and the Crushed Curry is the 1 3/4" Circle Punch.
Did you know Stampin' Up! has a Butterfly Punch?? It fits perfectly with Flight of the Butterfly. But even if you don't own that stamp set (I don't), it's a "must have" punch. I punched it three times--one from each color. Then I sponged each butterfly with the coordinating color. I layered them together and used Linen Thread for the body. Here's a closeup--you can see the layers.
Do you like these colors? I hope so. All the products are in the new Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog (order yours here). You can purchase these items or any others 24/7 right here.
Have a great Saturday! Thanks for the visit!
