Autumn Splendor Stamp Camp Project

Here's another September Stamp Camp project.  I used the Stamps and Smiles Sketch for my card and my focal stamp set is the Holiday Mini Autumn Splendor stamp set.  I also used a morph of the Joseph's Coat Technique--I got this great idea from fellow stamper, Laura Lipe.

Holiday Mini Sneak Peek and September Stamp Camp Project

I have another sneak peek to share with you and this card will be one of the cards you can make at my September Stamp Camp (Plainfield, IL on Sept. 11 and Hoffman Estates, IL on Sept. 13).  All the information for the Stamp Camp (and kits) will be available on Tuesday.  Be sure to check back then!

 

My card features the new single stamp, Gobble Gobble.  It will be available on September 1.  There are a few other "under $10" stamps available in the Holiday Mini as well.  I really like the idea of being able to purchase single stamps for special holidays and I think this turkey is just perfect!

My card also uses the new Autumn Meadows Designer Series Paper.  I love these colors, especially with the addition of Taken With Teal.

I'll have another Stamp Camp project to show you tomorrow and then sign up will begin on Tuesday.

Autumn Splendor--Holiday Mini Sneak Peek

I have another sneak peek for you.  September 1st is just a few days away and then the Holiday Mini will be available!  My card today uses the new stamp set, Autumn Splendor and the new Autumn Meadow Designer Series Paper.

 

I used the technique "Split Negative" for this card.  I took the largest leaf from Autumn Splendor and stamped it with More Mustard Craft and Really Rust Craft on two different pieces of Very Vanilla.  Then I added Clear Embossing Powder to both.  I cut each piece in half and matched it up with the different color.

The background is from Autumn Meadows Designer Series Paper.  This paper is gorgeous!  It has the traditional "fall" colors, but SU! added Taken With Teal.  The Taken With Teal really pops in the different patterns.

I used "thanks" from Fundamental Phrases and punched it out with the Modern Label Punch.  I used the Movers and Shapers Punch Windows with my Big Shot to make the Basic Black Matte.  Behind my focal image I used the Basic Black Striped Grosgrain.  My final touch was 3 Vintage Brads.

My card is for a stamping friend--we are partners in a weekly challenge.  The challenge was to use the Split Negative technique.  Traditionally Split Negative uses black and white, but this card shows you that you can really use any color combo you'd like!  I hope my partner likes it.

Bloggers' Challenge From the Crypt

Sorry my posts have been fewer this week.  With school starting, I'm doing some substitute teaching along with my part time job, Stampin' Up! and Mom.  So until I get in a good routine, there might be a day or two without posts.  Bear with me, though.  I'll get ahead of the game soon!

On with today's post--Bloggers' Challenge.  This week we have to follow the provided sketch.  I tweeked it just a little bit.  Take a look.

 

I used From the Crypt for my card today.  I stamped the flourish with Basic Black on Whisper White card stock.  Then I used my Versamarker to color in just the middle bat.  I added Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder and heated it.  I distressed the edges with the Cutter Tool Kit.

My main panel is the striped pattern from Cast a Spell Designer Series Paper.  It's matted on Basic Black and then my card base in Pumpkin Pie.  I used 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon below the focal image.

You can see I substituted the 3 brads for one Iridescent Ice spider.  I stamped the spider in Versamark and then Basic Black ink.  I added the Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder and heated it.  Once I cut it out, I added the spider with a Stampin' Dimensional.

Another Holiday Mini Sneak Peek!

I participated in a "Christmas in August" swap recently and this is the card I sent.  Take a look and then read on for all the details.

 

There's two sneak peek items used in my card.  First I used a snowflake from Serene Snowflakces.  I stamped it on Soft Suede with Versamark and then used White Embossing Powder.  I stamped just the middle circle with Real Red on Whisper White and punched it out with the 1/2" Circle Punch.  I attached it to a Build a Brad and added it to my snowflake.

The second sneak peek item is the Holiday Cocoa Specialty Paper.  It's YUMMY just like Holiday Cocoa! This pattern coordinates with Soft Suede, but it has a shimmer to it.  There's another design that has flocking on it--definitely a "must have" for Christmas projects.

I stamped "Merry Christmas" from Many Merry Messages with Real Red Craft Ink and embossed with Clear Embossing Powder.  I have a matte of Soft Suede and my card base is Real Red.

Holiday Mini Sneak Peek!

My card follows the Mojo Monday sketch and the Color Challenge onSCS.  The sneak peek is the Serene Snowflakes stamp set!  It's perfect for the holidays as well as winter scrapbooking--so keep it in mind for your winter projects.

 

The focal snowflake and the trio of snowflakes are from Serene Snowflakes.  I used Chocolate Chip ink and stamped them on  Kraft card stock.  I punched the focal snowflake with the 1 3/8" Circle Punch and matted it onto a 1 3/4" Chocolate Chip Circle.  The pattern paper is from Merry Moments Designer Series Paper.  I also got to use some of this gorgeous and easy to work with Striped Chocolate Chip Grosgrain.  The finishing touch is a Fire Circle Rhinestone Brad.

Remember, these challenges are open to everyone!  It's a great way to get some inspiration!

My First Baby is 15 Today!

I have another card to share with you today--it's Dalton's Birthday Card.  He's my oldest and celebrates 15 years today!  But first, here's a few pictures of him (can you handle me bragging just a bit?). 

 

This is Dalton at about 6 months and today at 15.  I love this baby picture of him--he was a very serious baby and this picture shows that perfectly!

Here's the card I made for Dalton.

 

I made the background with Extreme Elements.  I used Brocade Blue, Night of Navy, Garden Green and Old Olive.  I stamped off on scrap paper before stamping the images on Whisper White.  Then I stamped "dalton" with the Jumbo Outline Alpha set.  I purposefully overlapped the letters and colored those areas with Night of Navy and Garden Green Stampin' Write Markers. 

Dalton gave me a great compliment when he told me the card was "cool".  What a huge impact one little word can make!

I used the In Colors, Rich Razzleberry and Crushed Curry.  I stamped the sentiment from Fifth Avenue Floral on a piece of Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper.  My flowers are punched with the Boho Blossoms punch and the Basic Black center is from the Double Circle (retired).  It's a quick and easy card to make.

SU! Little Leaves Christmas Swag

Good Friday Morning!  Today is Bloggers' Challenge and our theme is "Punches and Dies".  For those of you that visit regularly, you know this is not a challenge for me.  I use my Big Shot, dies and punches all the time--why wouldn't I?  They make papercrafting so easy!

 

This idea has been in my head ever since I received my new Wood Sheets.  So in case it's not clear--it's my rendition of a front door (the wood) with a Christmas swag.  Clever, huh?  lol!

I used my Big Shot and SU!'s Exclusive Little Leaves Sizzlit Die to make the greenery of the swag.  I used Garden Green card stock and did a little sponging on the edges of the leaves.  My holly berries are Real Red card stock and punched out with my Crop-a-Dile (I think that counts as a punch, right?).  I used the new Real Red Polka Dot Grosgrain for my bow.

I stamped "Season's Greetings" from Many Merry Messages with Real Red Classic Ink right onto the Wood Sheet.  I added a panel of Garden Green and my card base is Real Red.
