Fox and Friends Stamp Camp Card

Sorry for the late post, but at least I'm posting!  Here's another March Stamp Camp card using Fox and Friends.  I love this little monkey!

Nothing like just hanging around!  I'll share my little trick with the monkeys and the twigs (from the Two Step XL Bird Punch).  I didn't want to have to cut out the entire monkey because he's kind of tiny.  So, I stamped him twice and then stamped his tail on scrap.  I cut out just the tail part to work with the twig.  Use Two Way Glue to adhere it and you can't even tell!  I was pretty proud of myself for that one!

The DSP is from Sweet Pea DSP, which is in the Occasions Mini. I think this dotted pattern works perfectly with the monkeys.

Thoughtful Prayers Brick Wall--Stamp Camp (last day to register!)

Today I'm sharing the technique card for Stamp Camp.  The technique is Brick Wall.  It's a more advanced technique, but one well worth learning.  Here's the card.

The Pretty in Pink panel was through the Big Shot with the Texture #1 plates (small dots).  I know you can't really see it.  The image from Thoughtful Prayers in stamped on a piece of the Sweet Pea DSP from the Occasions Mini.

Mother's Day Butterflies

Hello!  Did you miss me?  I feel like I'm repeating myself a lot lately, but life has been busier than usual for me so stamping has taken a back seat for a bit.  But, I do have a card for Bloggers' Challenge (use greens and neutrals) and the Critters Sketch Challenge.  The sketch uses 4 squares, but I tweaked it a bit and used 4 of the Beautiful Wings Embosslit butterflies.

For the greens I chose two of my favorites:  Certainly Celery and Old Olive.  I embossed the white panel with my Big Shot and Texture Plates #1.  The sentiment is from All Holidays.  I also lightly sponged the edges of my butterflies and added a Horizontal Slot Punch body.

Abundant Hope Challenge

I have another Abundant Hope card to share.  It uses the layout on page 24 of the Occasions Mini again.  Have you ever had an idea that you liked so much, you use it multiple times?  Well, you can see that I love the idea of stamping this image and popping out the flowers.

I really like these colors together:  Kraft, Summer Sun and Basic Black.  I hope my friend Rose does too because she's getting this card.  I'm part of a yahoo group and we have weekly challenges.  This particular challenge was to use the layout on page 24.

Plum Butterflies

Good Friday Morning!  Today's Bloggers' Challenge is a sketch.  Woo hoo!  I love sketch challenges!  I decided to pair it with this week's color challenge on SCS.  Now, this is an interesting color combo: Soft Suede, Perfect Plum and Pale Plum. This is one I probably would not have thought of.  But, I like it!  I hope you do too!

Did you know the new Beautiful Wings Embosslit layers perfectly on the Beautiful Wings Bigz Die?  You probably figured that out since the names are the same, but just in case...

I used a Perfect Plum butterfly with the bigz die and a Pale Plum embosslit.  The tiny butterflies are Perfect Plum and made with the embosslit.  My Soft Suede and Pale Plum strips are punched with the Scallop Trim Border Punch.  Remember this is one you can earn FREE until March 31!

I used the Baroque Motifs flourish stamp to add a little background on the Pale Plum piece.

Here's a close up of the butterflies.  I used Tombow Mono Adhesive on the "bent" part and then Stampin' Dimensionals in between the two wings.

Abundant Hope Sketch Challenge

Yesterday was the kickoff the new challenge blog, Critter Sketch Challenge.  You know I love sketch challenges so I added this site to my favorites.  Everyone can play along--I hope you do too!

My card is doing double duty.  I made it to fit the sketch, but it's for a great group of ladies that I get together with every so often.  I hope they like it too.

I started by stamping Bella Toile with Pretty in Pink ink on the Pretty in Pink card stock.  Using the same ink as the card stock gives a beautifully soft background.  I stamped the flowers from Abundant Hope on Certainly Celery with Basic Black.  I stamped again on Pretty in Pink card stock and cut out the flowers.  The flowers are on Stampin' Dimensionals.  Here's a close up.

Then I used more Basic Black card stock (you can see I used it for the matte for my focal image and background piece) and the Sale-a-Bration Scallop Trim Border.  I layered on a piece of Certainly Celery Grosgrain.

Lastly, I stamped "wonderful Mother" from Well Scripted on Certainly Celery and punched it out with the Wide Oval Punch.  Both this piece and the focal image are on Stampin' Dimensionals.

SUPER FEBRUARY!!

Abundant Hope

I have another Stamp Camp card to share with you.  I used the layout from page 24 of the Occasions Mini.  I used Abundant Hope and took the idea of stamping the flowers on different card stock from the pillow box also featured on page 24.

The pillow box shown on page 24 is Kraft Card Stock and I really liked the look of the black image with the flowers popping out.  I decided to use Lovely Lilac and Sage Shadow as my other colors--a bit unusual for Easter, but I like the look.

The ribbon is Eggplant Envy, which works well with Lovely Lilac too.

Don't forget that the catalog has so many different layouts and color combos to help inspire you!

SUPER FEBRUARY!!

Inspired by Nature Stamp Camp Card

Here is another card we made at Stamp Camp.  It features Inspired by Nature and the new Beautiful Wings Embosslit that's in the Occasions Mini.

We used Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip and Crushed Curry Stampin' Write Markers to ink up the flowers.  Then Always Artichoke Classic Ink was used for the grass.  The butteflies are Crushed Curry and Dusty Durango.  All of them are on Stampin' Dimensionals.

"Thanks," from Fundamental Phrases, is stamped with Chocolate Chip and punced out with the Modern Label Punch.

Well Scripted Love You Much

Yeah, it's Friday!  You know what that means--Bloggers' Challenge.  This week our theme is Valentine's.  I decided to let my card do double duty.  This is one of the cards we will make at Stamp Camp this weekend too. 

Before I show you the card, I have to tell you that I got this idea from a fellow demo, Barbara Kupfrian.  She posted her card on a gallery that's just for Stampin' Up! These are my love Cardinals.  In case you didn't know, female Cardinals are yellow; the males are the bright red birds.  So the male is outside the birdhouse (maybe in the doghouse, lol!) and the female is inside.  I made the "hole" with the 1 3/4" Circle Punch.  Of course the bird and branches are from the new XL Two Step Bird Punch from the Occasions Mini.  I sponged both birds and the wings are on Stampin' Dimensionals.  The sentiment is from Well Scripted (anothe Occasions Mini set) and it's punched out with the Wide Oval Punch.  To make the roof of the bird house, I ran a piece of Chocolate Chip through my Big Shot and the Texture Plates #4 wood grain design.  I finished it with the Scallop Border Punch.

Girly Girl Stamp Camp Card

Here's one of the cards we will make at Stamp Camp this weekend.  I'm pretty proud as a mother of 3 boys to make such a "girly girl" card, lol!  Actually, this idea to make the dress and purse is not mine--you probably have seen it before. 

My pattern paper is Shades of Spring from the Occasions Mini.  The main color in this particular pattern is Orchid Opulence.  I cut the "dress" out with the Big Shot and Scallop Circle Bigz Die.  I have a pattern that the Stamp Camp girls will use to cut the dress.  The belt is Pretty in Pink Taffeta with a Styled Silver Ribbon Slide.  The purse is the another design from Shades of Spring and the Round Tab Punch.   My photo doesn't show it, but the Whisper White piece is dry embossed withe the Big Shot and Small Dots Texturz Plate.
