My Digital Studio Birthday Cards

Yesterday's Bloggers' Challenge was "birthday".  I'm a day late, but I have 2 cards to share.  I almost feel like I'm cheating since these cards were sooooooo simple.  I used My Digital Studio (MDS).  Did you know you can make cards with MDS too?  SU! even provides many templates so you can literally pick a card and print!  So now when you "forget the card", you can print one out within minutes--that's even faster than stamping one!

My cards are templates provided when you purchase MDS.  All I did was change the words to "happy birthday".  Everything else was already done for me.  Take a look.

This card above is a 6 x 6 card.  Isn't that adorable? 

This is the normal A2 size card.  The templates also provide 7 x 5 cards (landscape or portrait).

Simple Daisies #2 Bigz Die Card

My card today is super simple if you have the Big Shot and the Daisies #2 Bigz Die.

All I did for this card was layer the Daisies #2 pieces so the petals alternate.  The center is 1/2" Circle Punch from Summer Sun.  I used 5/8" Basic Black Grosgrain and then stamped my sentiment from Upsy Daisy.  Card stock colors are Whisper White, Basic Black and Summer Sun.

Fox and Friends Baby Card

Today I'm sharing a baby card for my coworker's baby shower.  But, before I headed to my stamp room, I took a peek at the CPS sketch and decided to use it for my inspiration.  You'll see that I tweaked it a bit by making a horizontal card instead of a vertical card.  That's the fun of a sketch--it's a jumping off point!

My colors are Bashful Blue, So Saffron and Certainly Celery--perfect baby colors!  I think my card is pretty self explanatory--very simple, but yet oh so cute!  I love these images from Fox and Friends!

I didn't have any baby wrapping paper, so I made my own with butcher paper and I made it to match my card.  Here's a group shot.

Super February! and Haitian Disaster Relief

Super February!

I know it's still January, but I want to give you the heads up on my "Super February" promotion!  If you like football, you know why I'm calling it "Super February"; it's Super Bowl month!  I'm doing a Stampin' Up! version of the popular 100 Squares that is done all over the country for Super Bowl (I'm in a few myself!).

Haitian Disaster Relief

 

Stampin' Up! is doing their part to help the people of Haiti.  From now until February 28, 2010, $2 from every I {Heart} Hearts stamp set sold will be donated to the American Red Cross’ Haiti Relief and Development Fund. The Red Cross is already well-established in Haiti, and this money will be used to provide immediate relief and long-term support through supplies, technical assistance and other support to help those in need.

Love Birds

As promised, I have my Bloggers Challenge card for you.  There's no stamping!  With the punches I used, I think the message is still very clear.  Take a look.

This card is so simple and quick to make--Stampin' Up! punches make it that way!.  I used the new Extra Large Two-Step Bird punch in Whisper White.  It's hard to see, but the birds and their wings are popped up.  The heart is Real Red and is one of the hearts from the Heart to Heart Punch.  The final touch is Whisper White Organza Ribbon.

Fine Flourish

Good Morning!  Today's card features a new Occasion Mini stamp, Fine Flourish.  This is one of those single stamps that SU! is now selling.  The cost is only $9.95!  I thought this stamp would be perfect for this week's CPS sketch.

I stamped Fine Flourish with Versamark on Glossy White card stock.  Then I embossed using Black Embossing Powder.  To add color, I sponged on Summer Sun, Real Red and Tempting Turquoise.  The bottom panel is a piece of Pink Flamingo Designer Series Paper matted in Basic Black.  My final touches are 4 Fire Square Rhinestones and 1 Fire Circle Rhinestone.

My Digital Studio

I'm no longer MIA (sorry about that), but my mojo still is.  I've sat in my stamp room and there has been absolutley no creativity!  Yikes!  I'm sure it will come back and hopefully soon!

Since I didn't want to not post again, I decided to make a quick page with My Digital Studio.  Luckily, a lot of mojo isn't needed--MDS makes it super easy.  Now, I could dress this page up some, but less is more, right? 

I hope you enjoyed the page.  I promise that I WILL post some stamping too!

Jenny's Coat Medallion

Happy Friday!  Today's Bloggers' Challenge is a color combo: Pink, Brown and Neutral.  I decided to try the new technique from Technique Junkies called Jenny's Coat.  It's the same concept as Joseph's Coat, but instead of sponging on a neutral color to make your background paper, you use DSP.  My Pretty in Pink houndstooth pattern from Sweet Pea DSP was still out so that made my choice easy, lol!

I used the example in the TJ Newsletter for my inspiration.  I stamped Medallion with Versamark on the DSP and then used Clear Embossing Powder.  Next I brayered Chocolate Chip ink over the embossed image.  Be sure to wipe off the excess ink on the embossed areas.  

To finish my card, I added Double Stitched Chocolate Chip ribbon and the new 5/8" Pretty in Pink Satin ribbon.  I also add a new Sweet Pea Stitched Felt that can be found in the Occasions Mini.

Well Scripted Love

Today's card features the new Occasions Mini stamp set, Well Scripted.  I love the design of these sentiments.  My card follows the sketch on Mojo Monday and the color challenge on SCS.

Since the colors of the challenge are Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip and Rich Razzleberry, I thought a Valentine's card was in order.  I stamped the flourish from Baroque Motifs with Rich Razzleberry on a piece of Sweet Pea Designer Series Pack.  I added small Rich Razzleberry hearts made with the Heart to Heart Punch.  At top I used a piece of the new 5/8" Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon found in the Occasions Mini. 

I used Rich Razzleberry and Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write Markers to ink up my sentiment from Well Scripted.  Then I used the Full Heart Punch to punch it out.  To get the perfect Rich Razzleberry layer, I used my Big Shot and Hearts Sizzlits.

Stamp Clubs Forming!

Are you on a budget that allows you to only spend a little on Stampin' Up! and then you never receive hostess benefits?  If so, my Stamp Club is just for you.  You don't have to live near me, just in the United States, to be part of my club.

With Sale-a-Bration (SAB) running until March, my clubs for this 6 months are 3 month clubs.  The commitment is $50 (before s/h and tax) for January, March and May.  You are still purchasing the same amount as you do in a 6 month club, but you can receive SAB benefits with your club order (with a 6 months club you would have to add more to your commitment to receive SAB).
