Wow! Stampin' Up! announced a brand new Color Renovation that will happen with the new Idea Book and Catalog on July 1. They are making some HUGE changes in the color grouping. It took me a few days to get my head around all of the changes, but I'm pretty excited about it and I think you will be too.
There are several parts to the change. Right now we carry 48 core colors, a neutral line and In Colors. On July 1, we will go to 40 core colors in 4 families: Brights Collection, Neutrals Collection, Regals Collection and the Subtles Collection. Each catalog will have new In Colors as well.
Stampin' Up is adding 5 BRAND NEW colors: Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso, Cajun Craze, Cherry Cobbler and Marina Mist. Kraft is being renamed to Crumb Cake AND it will be available in an ink pad!
Ten past and present In Colors are part of the 40 core colors: Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry, Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango, River Rock, Soft Suede, Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette, Baja Breeze, and Wild Wasabi.
Here's what the new color palette will look like.
OK, have you done the math? 40 colors total, 5 new ones and 10 In Colors--how many are retiring? 30!
What's important for you to remember is that the retiring colors will be available only until June 30. Usually, retiring colors are limited on supply after June 1. If you have an ink pad, I strongly urge you to get the re-inker. You'll be able to use that pad for a LONG time (I'm on my first re-inker for pads that I have had over 7 years!).
I hope you aren't suffering from information overload! It's going to be exciting to see what the new catalog brings. But, let's put that on the back burner for now. Starting May 1, we'll have the Summer Mini to "ooh and aah" about!
Thanks for the visit!
