Blessed Mother

I haven't used this set too much, but I really like it.  The name is Blessed Mother and it's only available while the Occasions Mini catalog is good, which is April 30.  My card also uses the color challenge on Create Ink!  It wasn't until I had my card made that I saw the "add a touch of Baja Breeze" so my card doesn't have that color.

Spring is Blossoming--Four Frames

My card today uses Four Frames, which is only available until April 30.  After that, you have to wait until the new catalog.  With a $20 order, you can purchase Four Frames and Paisley Petals DSP.  Click here for all of the information.

My card uses the color combo from Inkspirations and the sketch on Clean and Simple.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I used Stampin' Write Markers to ink up the frame from Four Frames.  Then I used the Decorative Label Punch from the Occasions Mini to punch it out.  I used the punch again with Sahara Sand and cut it in half to make my layer.

 

Just a reminder, the Occasions Mini ends April 30!  If you haven't purchased the products you want, make sure you do.  Once they are gone, they are gone!

Bloggers Challenge--Spring Flowers

Remember back in the day when every Friday you knew I would be participating in Bloggers' Challenge?  It's hard to believe, but Lisa started this group (after the two of us challenged each other to make a card on using clothing as an inspiration) almost four years ago!  It's still going strong--and I'm hoping to get back on track and participate every Friday.

So today's challenge is Spring Flowers.  We are finally having some spring like weather here in the Chicago area--hoping it continues.  My spring flower is a daffodil.  I got this great idea from the very talented Jackie Topa.  The daffodil is made from the Blossom Petals Punch available in the Occasions Mini.

 

I don't usually stage my photos, but I got these beautiful daffodils from a fundraiser at work.  I thought it looked nice--although the "real" photographers in the crowd will probably cringe at the shadows, lol!

To make my card, I punched 6 of the larger leaves from the Blossoms Petal Punch in Daffodil Delight and sponged the edges.  I punched one of the large petals, folded it as shown and sponged.  My "leaves" are hand cut from Pear Pizzazz.  The Whisper White matte was run through the Big Shot using the Framed Tulips Embossing Folder.   A little Pear Pizzazz Seam Binding finishes my card.  I used Sincere Salutations for the greeting.  This card will be for my sister (sorry to ruin the surprise if you are reading Debbie).  She has this punch and I know she loves daffodils--so it's perfect for her.

Create a Cupcake Stamp Camp Card

I always try to make a more masculine or more boyish card--sometimes that is a challenge!  This would be good for a young boy's birthday.  This one features the Occasions Mini stamp set, Create a Cupcake and the coordinating punch, Build a Cupcake.

Build a Blossom and Blossom Petals Punch

When I look at my many stamp sets (I won't say just how many, lol), I know that I really don't NEED another flower set.  However, when I saw Build a Blossom and the coordinating punch, Blossom Petals in the Occasions Mini, I couldn't resist.  This flower set is just too pretty to pass up! 

When I fell in love with Stamping Up! some 10 years ago, it was the two step stamping that got me.  I think that's why this stamp set "spoke" to me as well. 

I created 8 petals.  I used Concord Crush for both steps, but I stamped off with the background stamp.  I punched each petal out with the Blossom Petals Punch.  Then I used Stampin' Dimensionals and Mini Glue Dots to give dimension to the flower.  Here's a closer look.

 

The center of the flower is also from Build a Blossom, stamped in Pear Pizzazz and punched out with the 1/2" Circle Punch.  My background is the hostess Designer Series Paper Pack.  I used Concord Crush Stitched Poly Ribbon.  The sentiment is from Sincere Salutations.

Build a Cupcake Punch

I finally sat down and played with some of my Occasions Mini toys!  I needed a little girl birthday card and really liked the one on page 56 of the Idea Book and Catalog.  I changed it just a bit, but it was an awesome starting point.

 

There's not a lot of stamping on this card.  I used the hostess Designer Series Paper Pack for the letters and cupcake.  The letters are made with my Big Shot and Timeless Type Sizzlits.  The cupcake is made with the brand new Build a Cupcake Punch.  There's a stamp set, Create a Cupcake, to coordinate with the punch, but as you can see, the punch is great on it's own.  I added a decorative border with the Eyelet Border Punch.  I added bling with Rhinestone Jewels.
