Fifth Avenue Floral

Good Morning!  It seems forever since I used Fifth Avenue Floral so today I'm showing it some love.  The Bloggers Challenge theme this week is a color combo: blue, green and rose.  My card is super simple, but I like it.

Four Frames--Another Version of April's Card Kit

I took the original three strips of Paisley Petals DSP, cut them in half and adhered them to the Marina Mist panel.  Then I ran it through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.  Please note, this is an option for you to try with your card kit--kit will not have embossed panels.

Blessed Mother

I haven't used this set too much, but I really like it.  The name is Blessed Mother and it's only available while the Occasions Mini catalog is good, which is April 30.  My card also uses the color challenge on Create Ink!  It wasn't until I had my card made that I saw the "add a touch of Baja Breeze" so my card doesn't have that color.

Strength and Hope May Stamp Camp Card

I'm really ahead of the game this month--I'm already starting on May's Stamp Camp cards!!  Of course we have to use Strength and Hope.  Besides being a gorgeous stamp set, purchasing this set is going to raise money for a great cause, the Breast Cancer Researcher Foundation (BCRF).  Stampin' Up! is donating $2 to BCRF for each Strength and Hope stamp set sold.  I love that the set is coming out in the month of May--the month we celebrate Moms!

Back to my card...

 

This card features a few techniques:  Rock and Roll and Out of the Box. It's hard to see, but I first stamped the butterfly in Baja Breeze, then I rolled the edges in Marina Mist--very pretty in real life.

Now to May's Stamp Camp...it will be held on Friday, May 20 at 7pm at my house in Plainfield.  I will also hold one on Sunday, May 22 at noon at my Mom's house in Hoffman Estates.  Cost is the usual $15.  Registration ends Wednesday (note different day than usual), May 11.  Use the PayPal link below or send me a check.  If you are new to my stamp camps, be sure to tell me which one you plan to attend.

April Card Kit--Order By April 29!

I hope everyone had a nice Easter weekend.  My little bunny boxes were a hit, although I think the kids liked the Smarties more than the boxes.  But that's OK--they looked cute on the table.

Today's cards are my April card kits.  Both cards feature the new Paisley Petals DSP and Four Frames stamp set (no images stamped for kits).  These two items are available only until April 30 (with a qualifying $20 order--click here for info).  After April 30, you will have to wait until the new catalog to order these items.  To purchase these products, click here.

I have two cards--same design, just different patterns from the Paisley Petals DSP.  Take a look and then read all of the information.

With the kit, you will receive all of the precut card stock, designer series paper, ribbon, punches and envelopes to make 5 of each of the above cards (total of 10 cards with envelopes)--NO IMAGES ARE STAMPED.  You will also receive, via email, directions to assemble your cards.

The cost of the card kit is only $30, which includes priority shipping (U.S. Customers).  Canadian customers, please email me if you would like to order, sheryl@stampingwithsheryl.com, so that I can determine shipping costs for you.

All kits must be ordered by the end of the night April 29.  Kits will be mailed out by May 7.  If you would like to order more than one kit, email me and I'll adjust the shipping cost for you.

Happy Easter!

The Easter Bunny is multiplying!  LOL!  I've seen several versions of this bunny box on the web.  I had to jump on the bunny box bandwagon!  Margaret Raburn was my biggest inspiration though.  Mine's just a smaller version.  Take a look. 

My bunny boxes also qualify for the Just Us Girls Challenge this week--any "springy" 3D item.  Be sure to check out their website--the DT has some awesome examples.

 

We go to my Mom's for Easter brunch and I like to have just a little treat for each person.  I really am pleased with how these little guys turned out.

Here are all the punches I used:

No Adhesive Box--New Dimensions

Did you think that I forgot?  I have the dimensions for the  No Adhesive Box that I posted with this photo and the box from my original tutorial.

 

Follow the tutorial that I posted here, but use the new dimensions if you want your box to hold a gift card (like my calendar easel box).

Box:  4 x 11 piece of card stock

On the long side, score at:  3 7/8", 4 1/2", 5 1/8", 9 1/8", 9 3/4", and 10 3/8".  On the short side, score at 9/16" from each side.

Sleeve:  4 x 7 5/8" piece of card stock

On the long side, score at 5/8", 3 5/8", 4 1/4" and 7 1/4".

Fabulous Florets Sneak Peek

Today is my niece's birthday--Happy Birthday Jessica!!  For her card, I used a stamp set that will be available on May 1 in the Summer Mini.  The name is Fabulous Florets, which is perfect because FABULOUS it is!  If you are one of my customers, you should have received your Summer Mini this week.  If not, let me know and I'll get one to you (I have some on order).

My card also follows this week's sketch on Clean and Simple.  I knew immediately that I would get to play with my new stamps when I saw this sketch--it's a perfect fit!

 

 

 

 

I love these flowers!  I stamped them with Black Stazon on Melon Mambo card stock, cut them out and then sponged a little.  The stems I stamped directly on the Whisper White card stock with Pear Pizzazz.

To make this card, you'll need the following products:
