Scrapbooking Sunday--Halloween Pages

Today is my Scrapbooking Sunday Class and we are doing Halloween Pages.  I had two ideas so attendees will get to choose either layout.

   

I really like these pages with the "spooky eyes" filling some of the blank space.  I used a full piece of the Ghostly Greeting Designer Series Paper, cut in half, for the accent on each page.  Once I cropped my photos, I adhered them to Pumpkin Pie card stock, then trimmed to form a square.  The blanks are perfect for journaling and accents from Batty for You.

 

I had more photos to use for this layout.  The focal images are framed by the "outside" of the Top Note Bigz Die with Ghostly Greetings Designer Series Paper.  I used Worn Alpha to stamp the title.  Since my background is Basic Black, I used the Signo uniball White Gel Pen for journaling.

The next Scrapbooking Sunday will be December 21 at 1pm.  The theme will be "fall/autumn" so any photos from Thanksgiving or other fall activities will be perfect.  In January we will make Christmas pages.  I'll have a link in the left side bar this week to sign up for December's class.

Scrapbooking Sunday--Registration Deadline

Tomorrow is the deadline to sign up for my new Scrapbooking Sunday Class!  Here's the layout we will do.

 

Keep in mind, you are creating the layout using these colors (Brocade Blue, More Mustard and Real Red).  Your embellishments and titles will be different to match your pictures.  You'll have access to my stamp sets and punches so together will find the stamp or make an embellishment from the punches.  My little cards are made from punches.

Cost is only $10 for both pages.  Plan to stay until 4pm and work on other projects.  Again, you'll have access to my stamp sets and punches.

September Scrapbooking Sunday

If you plan to pay by check and are sending it today, that's fine too.  Just email me so I know to expect it.

Scrapbooking Sunday--Plainfield, Illinois

I've added a new monthly class--Scrapbooking Sunday!  It will take place on the 3rd or 4th Sunday of each month (sorry, no class in October) at my house starting at 1pm.  We'll work until 4pm.  The class will consist of creating one double page layout (12 x 12).  I will let you know in advance the colors and "theme" so that you can plan your pictures.  Cost is only $10.  If you sign up and prepay for five classes by the due date for September's class (Sept 21), you will receive the 6th class FREE!!  You can also bring your own materials to continue working on scrapbooking until 4PM. 

Kits will be available each month as well, but add $4 for shipping.

September's class will be extra special.  Each attendee will also complete (if desired) an additional page to donate to Pages for Preemies.  I found this website while on SCS and thought it was an easy and worthwhile good cause.  I will have "girl" and "boy" pages for attendees to complete.

I've also planned my September WOW! Class.  We will create the box that I posted here.  We will create a second box using the Scallop Circle Die.  Cost will be $15 to attend.  Kits will be available as well, but no images will be stamped.  Kits are $15 and add $4 if they need to be shipped.  Registration and prepayment due no later than Wednesday, September 10.  Kits must be purchased by Sept. 10 as well and will ship Thursday, September 18.  For your convenience, you can use the Pay Pal links below.  If you are attending, be sure to state if you will attend the morning or evening class.

A Different Type of Flip Book Album

Last May, I showed a Scrapbook Flip Album.  Now, I used the Wild for Wasabi precut and prescored textured cardstock to make a variation of that Flip Book Album.  If you would like directions, be sure to sign up for my newsletter.  Making this Album will be my next "how to".

Scrapbooking Ideas

Since May is National Scrapbooking Month, I thought I would try my hand at a few gift ideas that incorporate scrapbooking.  Now, please note that both of these projects are not totally complete--I need to add more pictures, Designer Paper and embellishments.  These are projects for an upcoming class and I wanted you to have an idea of what the finished projects will look like.  See my Calendar of Events for more information.

Scrapbooking

I haven't posted any scrapbook pages yet so I thought I would make an album just for scrapbook pages.  I hope some of my pages inspire you for your own pages.

The page displayed here is one I submitted to SU!  This is an 8 1/2" x 11" page that features a photo of Shelli Gardner, CEO and Co-founder of SU!, holding me up for my stamp set that I received free at the Manager's Reception at Leadership.  Her husband, Sterling, is looking on as I smile and hand over my set.  Shelli has a great sense of humor and was very willing to pose for this picture.  No way would I really give her my stamp set!

I used a Faux Wood technique on Kraft Card stock.  My goal this week is to do my first tutorial and it will be on Faux Wood.  So be sure to check back if you would like to learn Faux Wood.  This page also features Faux Metal.  The horseshoes are actually upside down "U" made using Copper Embossing Powder and the Faux Metal Technique.   I used SU! Natural Hemp to make lassos around the journaling.  The "Wanted" ad says "Wanted. SU Demonstrator, Last seen at Manager's Reception, Has stamps and will use them".  Make sure you check out the rest of my scrapbook pages!

Family Page

I had to use the "family" stamp from That's Nice (Spring Mini) to do a scrap book page.  I made a quick 6x6 page featuring my 3 adorable boys (OK, I'm biased).  These stamps are perfect to use as a whole image or to stamp and take apart and glue down one by one.  They are also perfect for making each word a different color using Stampin' Write Markers.

Big Pieces Scrapbook Page

I really love the new mini set, Big Pieces!  It can be used for any occasion.  For this scrapbook page, I used two of the images that resemble snowflakes and a poinsettia.  The 1 3/8 inch Circle Punch will punch out most of the images perfectly.
