Today's the day--my baby is now 13! I'm officially a mother of 3 teenage boys! Jackson is thrilled that the BLIZZARD of 2011 came near his birthday--he has a snow day today! Here's a photo of him yesterday in the snow. It's hard to tell how high this snow drift is, but the bush behind him is about 6 feet. And to the right of the bush is our air conditioning unit, which is totally covered.
Here's the card I made for Jackson. It's really quite simple, but I think it turned out elegantly masculine. I love the neutrals for masculine cards.
I stamped the wolf from In Wilderness with Crumb Cake on Whisper White. I used the Cutting Tool to distress the edges of the Whisper White and Crumb Cake matte. I also sponged a little. The Whisper White background piece was run through my Big Shot with the Texture #4 plates. It's hard to tell, but where the Birthday Wishes is stamped (Occasional Quotes), I added a double layer of Modern Label punch before running through the Big Shot. That area is not textured. In real life, it makes the sentiment stand out a little more.

I needed a masculine congratulations card. Using foil and the Big Shot is always a good choice for masculine.
I used my Anywhere Glue Stick to adhere a piece of foil to Whisper White card stock. Then I ran it through the Big Shot with the square design from Texture Plates #4. Doesn't that make the perfect masculine background? To finish my card, I added a Real Red Large Star Punch and my sentinment is from the hostess set, Occasional Quotes.

Here's another card that we made at the Punch Class. The idea for a fire from the Two Step Bird Punch came from Jackie Topa. I thought it was incredibly clever!
See? Isn't it clever? You need three of the birds in Daffodil Delight. Then sponge with Riding Hood Red (or Cherry Cobbler). The logs are Word Window Punch in Early Espresso. The ends just have ink from a Sponge Dauber. The trees from Lovely as a Tree were stamped with Crumb Cake.

I've seen several of the "Top Note Elf Booties" so I had to make my own version. The girls coming tomorrow to the Punch Class will make this card. I did use several punches--Small Star and the 3/4" and 1 3/8" Circle Punches to cut the top of the booties. The booties are made with the Top Note Bigz Die.
I used some Jolly Holiday Designer Series Paper for the "socks". A silver Glimmer Brad is the "jingle bell" at the tip of the toes. I used Tiny Tags and the Jewelry Tag Punch for the sentiment.

I'm not the original creator of this idea, but I have to jump on the band wagon and make a penguin from the Owl Punch.
He looks a little lonely on his little piece of ice (Scallop Oval Punch) so that's why I decided on "Wish you were here". If I had a "missing you" stamp, that would work well too.

Another November Stamp Camp card to share--today is the LAST day to register! There's no stamping on it though! My card features the Candy Cane fabric available in the Holiday Mini. The technique is Iris Fold. It's hard to see in the photo, but my ornament is "puffy" too.

I have another November Stamp Camp card to share with you. I used the card on page 5 of the Holiday Mini for my inspiration. I LOVE the Silver Glass Glitter--this is the first time I played with it. I think you'll like it too so be sure to join me on November 12 in Plainfield or November 14 in Hoffman Estates. Tomorrow is the last day to register!
You can see I just inked up part of Christmas Collage and punched it out with the 2 1/2" Circle Punch. It's hard to see, but the Marina Mist is punched too so it's a layered effect. The Tombow Mono Adhesive is perfect to use with the Silver Glass Glitter. My Boho Blossoms flowers are sporting a little bling too--Rhinestone Jewels (can you tell I really like these too??). My colors are Marina Mist, Pear Pizzazz and Real Red.

I'm posting late I know, but I'm so happy with this card that I wanted to share it. One of my customers wanted to know how the JOY card on page 149 of the Idea Book and Catalog was made. After posing the question to a group of demos, the answer was "PUNCHES". So I finally had a chance to play and this is what I came up with.
I used the 1 3/8" Square Punch and the 1 3/4" Circle Punch. I will try to get photos of the steps to show you how to create the window. The "bars" are 1/16" strips of card stock.
It really isn't too hard to create, but a little time consuming. I hope you are inspired!

Sorry I haven't posted for a few days. My camera refused to open for a few days--not sure what was going on, but I'm glad I don't have to buy a new one!
Anyways...I have been stamping. I'm getting the cards ready for my upcoming Christmas Card Class. Here's another we'll make at this class.
Can you tell what punch I used for the flames? It's the wing from the Two Step Bird Punch! I think it works remarkably well. This is probably the most time consuming of the cards, but still a "doable" card for Christmas!
