For those of you that receive my newsletter, you know I'm a little late in getting this tutorial published. Sorry about that, but better late than never, right? If you are not on my newsletter email list and would like to be, there is a sign up in the left bar on my blog. I hope you enjoy the tutorial!
Supplies needed:
Cardstock of your color choice with coordinating Classic Inks
Stamp set of your choice
Versamark
Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder
Powder Pal
Heat Tool
1 3/8" or 1 1/4" Square Punch (or any punch shape of your choice)
On a scrap piece of cardstock (the same size or bigger than the cardstock piece with your main image), punch a rectangle using the Square Punch.
Make sure your punched area is bigger than the actual stamp size so it creates a "window" around it.
Now stamp your image on your good piece of cardstock. Again, size will be determined by the stamp image.
If necessary, color your image. I used Blender Pens and Classic Ink to color in my tree.
Once your image is colored, lay the scrap piece of cardstock that has been punched over the image. Make sure your image is centered in the opening.
Press the Versamark pad over the opening, making sure the punched area is evenly covered with Versamark.
Cover area with Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder. Make sure to use a Powder Pal to catch the extra. Tap the cardstock to shake off the excess.
Use your heat tool to heat the embossing powder. Make sure not to over heat the Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder. If you do, the glitter will not sparkle.
This is what the finished Faux Glitter Window looks like. Now finish your project!
