I posted a "no adhesive box" yesterday and promised a tutorial. So here it is.
You need a piece of card stock cut 10 7/8" x 5". You also need a piece of DSP cut to 8" x 2 9/16".
On the 5" side, score at 1 1/4" and 3 3/4". On the 10 7/8" side, score at 2 3/8", 3 5/8", 4 7/8", 7 3/8" 8 5/8" and 9 7/8". Score lines are marked by dashes.
Cut out the 2 squares (formed by the score lines) in each corner. Areas shaded (or scribbled, lol) are the areas to cut completely off.
After cutting the corners off, cut just the score line to make the flaps shown above.
Next, fold all of the score lines in towards the center of the box, except for the end pieces of the long middle section. Use a bone folder to get crisp folds.
Take the short side and fold over and "into" the box.
The outer edge becomes part of the center of the box.
Repeat with the other side.
Your box is complete and you didn't even need adhesive!!! Now for the sleeve.
On the 8" side, score at 2 9/16", 3 13/16", 6 3/8" and 7 5/8". Crease all the score lines with a bone folder. Add adhesive to the 3/8" strip at the end.
Tuck the 3/8" edge inside to make a neat sleeve.
Here's a complete box and sleeve. Now all you have to do is decorate it!
I love Riding Hood Red and the Bella Rosa DSP for Christmas. Adding Chocolate Chip accents makes it look so rich!
I hope you like this tutorial--be sure to try it. If you have any questions, email me or ask it in the comments. Be sure to check back because I WILL answer in the comment section.
Thanks for the visit!
LOVE it Sheryl! You make it look so simple. :)

This is such a fabulous box! I love it! Thanks so much for sharing. I made one myself, and posted it on my blog. I put a link to these directions from my blog. I hope that's ok. If it isn't...please let me know! This is darling though! Thanks so much!
