If you read my blog regularly, you know that I am truly enjoying playing with my Big Shot and Dies. One of my favorite Bigz Die is the SU! Exclusive Beautiful Butterflies. As I played, I came up with what I'm calling a "Double" or "Triple" Butterfly (I haven't seen this done as of yet).
This first card I designed with the Card Positioning Systems Challenge 114. Here's the sketch for the week.
I took some creative liberty (again, lol!) and instead of the circle, I used the Beautiful Butterfly. Are you ready?
Do you see the triple layers? I used only 3 pieces of card stock--meaning it's not three different butterflies layered. Here's a close up of the side view.
In this photo, you can really see the different layers, which are Cameo Coral, Rose Red and then Raspberry Tart on top. I'm so thrilled with this card.
Last month is when I first thought of this idea. Stampin' Up!'s monthly contest (for free stamps, yeah!) required the use of Designer Series Paper. So I submitted this card. I hope I win, of course, but even if I don't, I am very happy with the result.
The big butterfly on this card is a "Double" layer. Here's a close up.
I don't have a tutorial for this yet, but I will by the end of the week. Be sure to bookmark my site or add it to your Google Reader so you can check out the tutorial.
Check back this afternoon too. I'll have my May Card Kit ready and available for purchase.
Just a friendly reminder that all of my projects are for personal use only. Please do not use my ideas for any type of submission. Thank you!!
Thanks for the visit and I'll "chat" with you again this afternoon!
Beautiful cards! Love those butterflies!

OMG! Those cards are SO beautiful! HAD TO HAVE THAT DIE, but haven't bothered to play with it! DOH! Thank you so much for the inspiration! The use of those half pearls are OVER THE TOP! Great job!
