Stitched Stockings and Frostwood Lodge Designer Series Paper

Here's the second card we made at the library class.  The card is a close CASE from a card created by Jan Tink. 

We used a few strips from the Frostwood Lodge DSP (I love the plaids!).  We stamped the stocking from Stitched Stockings in Cherry Cobbler and punched it with the Stocking Builders Punch.  Then we used the Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine and a Mini Jingle Bell and added it to the Snowflake Punch.  You can find most of these items in the Holiday Mini.

Wisteria Wonder Ornaments

Have you missed me?  I miss being in my stamp room!  I taught a card making class at the local library (actually 2 since it filled up so quickly!) so I'll share the cards over the next few days.  We made three simple cards.  I think the ladies enjoyed themselves--I always enjoy meeting new people.

Here's one of the cards we created.

The ornaments are made with the Stocking Accents Bigz Die and then embossed with the Snow Burst Embossing Folder.  We punched circles from Silver Glimmer paper to add a little bling.  The ornaments are "hanging" from Dazzling Details lines.  To get my lines straight, I used the Simply Scored Scoring Tool to make lines to follow.

The die, embossing folder, scoring tool, glimmer paper and Dazzling Details are all found in the Holiday Mini.  "Merry" is from the Up, Up and Away stamp set.  It's stamped with Concord Crush.

From Santa Stamp Camp Card

Here's the last of the October Stamp Camp cards.  This card features the "a la carte" stamp, From Santa, which can be found in the Holiday Mini.  The sketch is from this week's Mojo Monday challenge.

 

My colors, Cherry Cobbler and Early Espresso, come from the Frostwood Lodge DSP.  The Mini Jingle Bell fits perfectly in Santa's hat.  The sentiment comes from one of my favorite Christmas stamp sets, The Jolliest Time of the Year.

Today is the Last Day to Register for October's Stamp Camp!

I have another October Stamp Camp card to share with you.  I'm really proud of this one--I've finally learned how to make the paper rosettes that I've seen so many times.  I learned how to make these rosettes from my latest Stampin' Success (a demonstrator only magazine). 

I got the idea of using the Lattice Die with a DSP background from a fellow stamper, Toni Tessler.  I love that look!  The DSP that I used (5 different patterns) is the Mocha Morning Specialty DSP.  It's gorgeous!

Glimmer Christmas Lights

I have another Stamp Camp card to share with you.  When I got the Stocking Accents Bigz Die from the Holiday Mini, I immediately thought about the Christmas light being made with the Real Red Glimmer Paper.  So I made my thought a card and here it is...

 

It's a pretty simple card to make, but the Real Red and Silver Glimmer paper just sparkle so much, it's a beauty (is that bragging?? lol).

Stitched Stockings Stamp Camp Card

Another great idea by Jackie Topa--using the Stitched Stockings as a bushel basket.  She is incredibly creative and I love to look at her blog!  Originally I wanted to use the "cherry" from the Build a Cupcake Punch to create a bushel of apples, but the cherry was just a bit too small.  So I went with the leaves, but added the tree from Season of Friendship.  The leaves are made with the Stocking Builder Punch from the Holiday Mini.

Christmas Gift Class-Registration Open

Do you need a few gift ideas for Christmas?  I have the class for you!  I'm holding a Christmas Gift Class on Friday, November 4 at 7pm at my house.  The class includes everything you need to make the gifts in the photo below.

 

The first gift is super easy and is perfect for your kids' classmates or your coworkers.  It uses 3 of the Cellophane Bags found on page 11 of the Holiday Mini.  A little Real Red Grosgrain and the From Santa stamp punched out with the 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch finishes the gift.

The second gift is a pair of stockings created with Candy Cane Christmas material and the Holiday Stocking Bigz Die.  The stockings are perfect for a gift card or a small gift.  Plus, they become decorations after the gift is used!  The stockings are made with Whisper White card stock as well as the material so they are sturdy.

The last gift is created with the Decor Blocks found on page 181 of the IB&C.  The different designs from Frostwood Lodge Designer Series Paper cover the blocks.  We'll use a variety of embellishments and the four words spelled out are Noel, Love, Joy and Snow.

The cost of the class is $30 and includes all of the supplies to create the gifts, including an Anywhere Glue Stick (which is the primary adhesive used).  Candy and gift card are not included.  Registration ends Monday, October 24.

Kits are available as well and will include all of the product cut and punched ready for you to assemble. You will also receive an instruction sheet via email. If you pick up your kit, cost is $30.  If I ship the cost is $41 and includes priority mail shipping.  Registration for kits ends Monday, October 24 as well.  Kits will ship or be ready for pick up on Monday, November 7.

As with all classes, be sure to bring scissors and stamp cleaner.  Adhesive (Anywhere Glue Stick) will be provided as part of the class.

Pennant Parade Stamp Camp Card and Bloggers' Challenge

Registration for October's Stamp Camp is now open.  Stamp Camp will be held at my house in Plainfield on Friday, October 21 at 7pm.  Cost is $15 and as always, please bring your own adhesive, scissors and stamp cleaner.

Today's card is one of the cards that you will make at Stamp Camp.  I used the Bloggers Challenge sketch posted by my stamping buddy, Lisa.  Everyone is free to play along, just make sure you post a new card and link back to Lisa's blog.

 

 

I used Pennant Parade and the coordinating punch.  My "flourish" is made with the Paper Piercer and Matte.  Colors are Pear Pizzazz and Rich Razzleberry with a touch of Tempting Turquoise.

Last Two Samples for Each Christmas Card Class

Here are the final two samples for each of the choices for the October Christmas Card class. 

Stitched Stockings:

 
On the first card, I went with more traditional Christmas colors.  The stocking is punched from one of the designs of the Frostwood Lodge DSP found in the Holiday Mini.

The second card uses more Silver Glimmer paper to add a little bling.

The Sounding Joy:

 

On the first card, it's hard to see, but there are score lines so that the Itty Bitty Punches look like ornaments hanging.  I used the new Simply Scored Scoring Tool from the Holiday Mini to make the score lines.  You'll have to trust me that in real life, it looks awesome.

On the second card, I went with "simple is elegant".  A little Silver Glimmer paper really makes this card, especially with a touch of Real Red Satin Ribbon.

To register for the class, go to this link for the PayPal links.  Remember you can sign up for both classes, but you may not have time to assemble all ten cards at class. You will have time to at least stamp.

• If you order the Clear Mount option you MUST bring your own clear blocks.  I will not have blocks available at class.
