More Samples for the Christmas Card Class

I have another example for each choice for my upcoming Christmas Card class.  Remember, with this class, not only do you receive all of the materials to make 5 cards and envelopes, you receive the stamp set as well.  For the Stitched Stockings choice, you also receive the coordinating punch.  For more information, go to this link.

Hopefully you can see that I'm trying to create a Christmas fireplace scene.  The Wood Sheets that SU! offers are perfect for creating the fireplace.  You can't see it in my photo, but the "mantle" is actually popped out with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Here's the third example for The Sounding Joy choice.

 

I really like the Quilted Satin Ribbon that's available in the Holiday Mini.  It has a beautiful shine to it.  This is a pretty simple card to make and a Gold Glimmer Brad adds the perfect touch to the bow.

October Christmas Card Class--2nd Example

I have a second card for each of the choices from my Christmas Card Class.  If you haven't read about my class, be sure to click here.  Registration will end Tuesday, October 4. 

As you know, one choice for the class is Stitched Stockings and the Stocking Builder Punch.  Here's the 2nd card.

 

I like purples for Christmas--a bit untraditional, but pretty none the less.  I added a little bling to each stocking with Rhinestone Jewels.  The colors are Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant.

I decided to keep with the same color scheme for card #2 for The Sounding Joy choice.

 

The bling on this card comes from the Silver Glimmer Paper from the Holiday Mini.  Have I told you how much I love this paper?

Elements of Style Stamp Camp Card

Here's the last Stamp Camp card.  My layout if from Paper Pals Art Sketch Challenge for the week. 

 

I took some creative liberty and used a butterfly from Beautiful Wings Embosslit to replace area 4.

 

Can you see the embossed lines?  I scored those with my new toy from the Holiday Mini, Simply Scored Scoring Tool.  I can't wait to show it to my stampers--it's going to make any scoring project MUCH easier!!

Autumn Splendor September Stamp Camp Card

This card features Autumn Splendor.  Autumn is by far my favorite season.  It's really hard for me not to purchase every single "leaf" stamp set.  So I'm being good and using this oldie and goodie.  The new set from the Holiday Mini, Gently Falling, would work well with this card too.

 

The leaves from Autumn Splendor are stamped and embossed on Shimmery White card stock.  Then I colored them with the AquaPainter and reinkers.

October Christmas Card Classes--Registration Open

As promised, I have the details for my Christmas Card Classes.   First, I'm holding two classes (same class, just different dates and locations).  You can join us in Plainfield, IL on Saturday, October 15 from 12-3 pm.  Or, you can join us in Hoffman Estates, IL on Saturday, October 29 from 12-3 pm.

After this class, you will have 5 ideas for your own Christmas cards.  Each kit will come with a sheet stating exact dimensions of card stock, length of ribbon, etc used to make that card.  I will also help you determine how much of each product you will need to make however many cards you send out.

Choice #1:  Stitched Stockings and Stocking Builder Punch

With this class you receive the stamp set (your choice of wood or clear mount) and the coordinating punch.  Plus you will receive all of the precut card stock and accessories and envelopes to create 5 cards using Stitched Stockings and Stocking Builder Punch. 

   

Here's one of the cards you will create (sorry, matching envelope is not in the photo, but you will create one):

 

Cost of the class for clear mount stamps is $53.85 and for wood mount stamps, $63.35.  Be sure to choose the correct option (clear or wood)>

Choice #2:  The Sounding Joy

With this class, you will receive the stamp set (your choice of clear or wood mount).  You will also receive all of the precut card stock and accessories and envelopes to create 5 cards using The Sounding Joy.

 
Here's one of the cards you will create (again, no envelope shown, but you will create one at class): 

 

The cost of this class for clear mount stamps is $32.50 and for wood mount stamps, $37.50.  Be sure to pick the correct option (clear or wood)>

Things to remember:

• Class registration ends Tuesday, October 4 for both classes.
• If you are new to my classes, please let me know which location you will attend.
• If you are ordering clear mount stamps, you MUST bring your own clear blocks.  I will not be able to provide these.
• As with all classes, please bring your own adhesive, scissors and stamp cleaner.
• You may purchase both kits if you so desire.  However, you may not have enough time to stamp and assemble both at class (class length is 3 hours only).  You can stamp and then assemble at home.

Stitched Stockings Stamp Camp Card

I love this new set, Stitched Stockings stamp set from the Holiday Mini.  I believe Jackie Topa was the creative mind to turn it upside down and make it a horse--isn't that creative?  Here's my version.

 

I thought the little hobby horse made a cute baby card, but my campers can make it a birthday card using "wish big" instead of "baby"; both are from Up, Up & Away.

Haunted Forest Stamp Camp Card

My card features the "a la carte" stamp, Haunted Forest, which is from the Holiday Mini.  The fold is called a "gate fold"  (at least I think so, lol).  It opens from the middle.  The second photo shows the inside.

 

 

Do you like the Shimmery White card stock for Halloween?  I think it gives the Haunted Forest a cool look.  And I love the Spider Web Embossing Folder.  The inside is stamped with Jack of All Trades, a new set in the IB&C.  You'll find it on page 26.

Save the Dates--Christmas Card Classes in October

I'm offering a different kind of Christmas Card class this year--one that includes a stamp set and accessory.   You'll have the choice of Stitched Stockings stamp set or The Sounding Joy stamp set.  Both stamp sets are from the Holiday Mini. I'll have all of the details posted by the end of the weekend.  But...mark it on your calendar now.  If you live near me and want to attend at my house, the class will be Saturday, October 15 from 12-3pm.  If you live in the northern part of the Chicago area, the class will be Saturday, October 29 from 12-3pm at my Mom's house in Hoffman Estates.  Registration will end Tuesday, October 4 for both classes.

Turtle & Co. September Stamp Camp

September's Stamp Camp will be held on Friday, September 16 at 7pm at my house in Plainfield, Illinois.  Today's card is one of the five cards you'll create.  My card features this year's Ronald McDonald House stamp set, Turtle & Co.  Remember, for every set purchased, Stampin' Up! donates $2 to the Ronald McDonald House Charity--it's a great cause!!

I used two different sizes from the Designer Buttons in Tempting Turquoise.  The medium size button fits the snail perfectly!
